Englewood, OH 45322

John Prikkel III, President of Liteflex LLC, is pleased to announce that Daniel Chien has joined Liteflex as Vice-President of Sales & Engineering; Chien will head Liteflex’s newly established satellite office at

20700 Civic Center Drive, Suite 170, Southfield, MI 48076

“We are in a position to rapidly strengthen and grow our businesses through alliances with key customers and product and market diversification,” says Prikkel.    “Dan will lead an experienced team I have put in place since I bought this business from Delphi Automotive in 2001. He has my full confidence as well as the support of our Board of Directors.”

Chien has a solid track record of growing businesses by building strong teams, strategically developing high value added products and nurturing strong customer relationships and cooperative ventures with strategic partners.  His broad range of experience includes 25 years in the commercial vehicle and heavy equipment industry. An 18-year veteran at ArvinMeritor, Chien’s responsibilities included engineering, procurement, operations and executive management culminating as Managing Director for ArvinMeritor’s Commercial Vehicle Suspensions, a new start-up business and it’s MD for CVS Ride Control, a mature $100M SBU located in Toronto, Ontario with operations on four continents.  Chien is known for his strong strategic focus, a global perspective and sense for execution excellence through continuous improvement.

Chien holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Iowa, a Master of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Business Administration from Michigan State University.

Chien joins Liteflex with the unique experience of both starting and growing high technology, engineering intense businesses and operating and maintaining profitable and mature product line business units.  This experience will be directly applied to the dual Liteflex vision of becoming the world wide recognized leader of lightweight composite suspension components for cars and trucks and the diversification of its technology to other high value markets that value light weight, high strength and high energy capacity of composite technology.  “Liteflex has already benefited from Dan’s leadership and I expect many other announcements in the near future relating to the progress of our vision,” said Prikkel.
